Information on the progress of socio-economic development of the sector and economic reforms in the system of the State Forestry Committee during the II quarter of 2017
During the reporting period, the State Committee of Forestry and the forest farms within its system carried out certain activities to deepen economic reforms in the sector, to ensure the fulfillment of socio-economic indicators.
During the first half of 2017, 21,500 hectares of forest fund lands, of which 1,000 hectares of pistachios, 260 hectares of walnuts, 280 hectares of almonds, 40 hectares of unabi (chilangji), and more than 1,200 hectares of firewood, including Arol A forest was established on an area of 10,100 hectares in the dried-up seabed and measures were taken to support its natural regeneration, and nurseries and nurseries were established on an area of more than 260 hectares.

In order to implement measures against forest diseases and pests, it is planned to establish biolaboratories in 19 forestry farms this year, and preliminary work is underway.
Also, 100 km of fire roads, 34 km of new protection lines, 214 km of mineralized strips were built, 1140 km of forestry and fire roads and 1470 km of mineralized strips were repaired.
Implementation of the minutes of the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on January 25, 2017 "On the measures planned for 2017 on the wide use of opportunities of forestry, further development of cultivation, preparation and processing of medicinal plants, strengthening of the material and technical base of forestry" No. 03-12-5 plantations of 48 types of medicinal and nutritious plants were established by forestry companies on an area of 1,995 hectares. Contracts for the supply of raw materials of medicinal plants in the amount of 1096.9 thousand soums were concluded with pharmaceutical enterprises, and a quota was allocated for the preparation of raw materials of 5533.8 tons of naturally growing medicinal and nutritious plants.
Until this time of this year, about 1.5 thousand tons of raw materials of 16 types of medicinal and nutritious plants were prepared in the forest farms of the system.
