Work carried out in the framework of the national project "Green Space" in the spring season
In order to systematically and effectively organize the planting of seedlings in the spring and autumn seasons of 2024 within the national project "Green Space" in the Republic, the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 144-F dated March 7, 2024 was adopted.
In order to ensure the implementation of this Order by forestry companies, based on the demand of the spring season, a total of 12.3 million pieces will be distributed to all regions of the Republic, in particular, 381 thousand pieces to preschool educational organizations (kindergartens), 1 million 183 thousand saplings were delivered to educational institutions (schools) free of charge, and 415.8 thousand saplings were delivered to health institutions at the expense of the funds of the Ecology Fund.
Also, 480 foresters were supported in scientifically based planting of saplings in more than 50 neighborhoods.
Special attention was paid to the selection of tree and shrub seedlings suitable for the soil and climate conditions of the region.
In turn, important recommendations on watering and caring for planted seedlings were given.
In addition, planting of saplings was organized in the houses of 25 citizens in an exemplary manner.
771 tons of seeds of trees and shrubs were collected for forestry and greening activities.
A total of 667 hectares, of which 318 hectares of nurseries and 350 hectares of nurseries were established.
In addition, a reserve of 17 million tree and shrub seedlings is being created. In turn, in the autumn season of this year, these seedlings will be delivered according to the established order.
In order to stabilize the ecological situation in the republic, measures were taken to establish and reforest an area of 220,000 hectares. In this case, the main part of afforestation works falls on desert areas.
In particular, a total of 215,000 hectares, including 112,500 hectares in the Moynaq district of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Bukhara region, in order to eliminate sand migration and salt-dust rising into the atmosphere in the dry bottom of the Aral Sea and the Aral coastal areas. "Green covers" were established on 41,000 hectares in Olot district, 51,300 hectares in Tomdi, Uchquduq districts of Navoi region, and 10,000 hectares in Tuproqkala district of Khorezm region.
1207 workers, 522 pieces of equipment and mechanisms, 1 AN-2 aircraft and 6 hang gliders were involved in these forest reclamation activities.
Local councils of 134 districts and cities of our republic have adopted relevant decisions on allocating land for the establishment of "green parks" on an area of 347 hectares.
At present, practical work is being carried out on the development of project documents for the establishment of "green parks" on the selected land areas, as well as on carrying out expertise in the prescribed manner.
129 thousand units in the 69 km section of the Tashkent-Samarkand railway passing through Syrdarya region, 219 thousand units in the 84 km area passing through Jizzakh region, and 24 thousand units in the 13 km section passing through Samarkand region, totaling 372 1,000 seedlings were planted suitable for the soil and climate conditions of the regions.
In addition, project-research and other practical works have been started today for the implementation of the task of greening the surroundings of the "Samarkand-Karshi" railway.
In the mountain and sub-mountain areas of the Zomin district of the Jizzakh region, ornamental forests were established on an area of 91 hectares.
In addition, according to the relevant order of our Government, a total of 3,600 ornamental seedlings, including 2,500 maples, 500 Crimean pines, 450 mulberry trees and 150 sycamores, suitable for climatic conditions, were planted in the "Zomin" tourist recreation area. Planting has been done.
