On January 6 of this year, a cooperation meeting was held between the Director of the Forestry Agency E.M. Muhitdinov and a delegation led by Professor of China Agricultural University, scientist of the UN Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) Xu Shuwen, who visited our Republic.
During this meeting, the study of the Chinese model for improving degraded and highly saline areas, as well as the prospects for reusing saline lands in agriculture and forestry, were discussed.
The parties also exchanged views on the work being carried out on the dried-up bed of the Aral Sea and future plans, and an agreement was reached on further cooperation.
