In our country, a number of measures are being implemented in order to organize cultivation and processing of medicinal plants, to support the establishment of cultural plantations, as well as to widely use medicinal plants in the prevention and treatment of diseases.

In particular, in the Decision of the head of state "On measures to organize the cultivation and processing of medicinal plants and their wide use in treatment" public-private partnership and investment in the cultivation and processing of medicinal plants Tasks such as taking measures to organize the implementation of projects have been set.

Cultivation and processing of medicinal plants, in cooperation with GIZ, a seminar-training was organized at the Khojaly State Forestry on the cultivation and preparation of medicinal plants, as well as their useful properties. Farm workers and local unemployed women took an active part in the seminar.

Our country has centuries-old traditions of treating various diseases on the basis of medicinal plants. In recent years, consistent reforms have been implemented in the republic regarding the protection of medicinal plants, the rational use of natural resources, the establishment of plantations for the cultivation of medicinal plants and their processing. At the same time, it shows the need to protect medicinal plants, establish their plantations, and create an additional value chain through processing.

According to experts, concluding agreements with medicinal plant growers on the purchase of cultivated products, providing them with seeds, mineral fertilizers, machinery, fuel and other means, specialized cultivation of medicinal plants in the regions, preparation of seeds and seedlings, establishment of modern medicinal plant plantations step by step, application of advanced scientific achievements in cultivation and seed production of medicinal plants, and Issues such as mutual active cooperation with international organizations on the cultivation and processing of medicinal plants and the gradual introduction of innovative solutions (know-how) into the field are the main tasks of the cluster of medicinal plants.

At the seminar, it was noted that today, when people are bothered by a disease, they immediately resort to pharmaceutical drugs, in fact, many diseases can be quickly and easily, and most importantly, harmlessly treated with the help of folk medicine and medicinal plants.
