In our country, great attention is paid to ensuring ecological stability, rational and effective use of natural resources. At the meeting of video selectors on the improvement of the ecological situation and the implementation of the nationwide project "Green Space" held under the chairmanship of the President, the current situation in this direction was critically analyzed and priorities were clearly defined. As part of the project, it is planned to plant 200 million trees and shrubs, thereby increasing the green areas in cities from the current 8% to 30%.

In order to implement the specified measures, the officials of the Forestry Agency assigned a number of tasks to the heads of all forest farms in the system. In particular, the recommendations of scientists in the field are taken into account regarding the genetic purity and purity of seedlings of trees and shrubs planted in the established mother plantations. Periodic approval of the areas used for seed cultivation is ensured.

For this purpose, together with the leaders of Bukhara and Navoi forestry, a seminar was held on the creation of a selective breeding base of trees and shrubs on the land areas of the forest fund, as well as on the organization of mother plantations of tree and shrub seeds in order to obtain quality seeds. passed. During the seminar, it was also discussed that special attention should be paid to the technological requirements of seed production schemes, the rules of their storage and implementation, as well as to the preservation of seeds in terms of quality and quantity.

The scientists of the field gave recommendations on the introduction of new and promising varieties based on innovative technologies and guidelines on methods of increasing the efficiency of high-quality seed production.
