For the first time, an open reception for citizens was held in the forestry sector
A reception of citizens was held by Erkin Muhiddinov, Director of the Forestry Agency under the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change, regarding the appeal made by the Kokand State Forestry Agency regarding its activities.
The meeting was attended by officials of the Ministry of Ecology, heads and specialists of the Forestry Agency, employees of the Kokand State Forestry Agency, citizens who appealed, and bloggers.
Opening the meeting, Erkin Muhiddinov noted that, at the direct initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, serious attention is being paid to increasing the level of greenery in our country and further expanding afforestation in the regions, which will serve to strengthen ecosystems in our country, mitigate the effects of climate change, and improve the well-being of the population.
"From now on, the activities of the Forestry Agency will be organized on the principles of openness and transparency, each appeal will be fully investigated in due course, and fair decisions will be made." "Today's reception is a practical confirmation of these thoughts," said E. Muhiddinov.
It should be noted that on January 10 of this year, several citizens sent a complaint to the Agency regarding errors and shortcomings in the activities of the Kokand State Forestry. After that, a working group consisting of officials from the Ministry of Ecology and the Agency was formed, and the cases presented in the appeal were studied in the prescribed manner.
The complaints and arguments of both parties were heard in full at the meeting. The appeals during the reception mainly concerned issues such as the targeted use of land plots based on a lease agreement, illegal construction in the area, and the development of seedlings.
At the end of the event, Erkin Muhiddinov stated that each appeal would be studied impartially, and the materials collected on the cases would be submitted to law enforcement agencies in the appropriate manner. Also, starting this year, in accordance with the relevant instructions of the Head of State, in order to reduce poverty, noted that land will be allocated to local residents in the appropriate manner from the areas.
In turn, the citizens who participated in the meeting also expressed their gratitude to the leadership of the Forestry Agency for the open and impartial organization of the meeting, for the fact that the problems of each party were fully heard and addressed.
For information, on January 10, 2025, the Agency received a complaint regarding shortcomings in the activities of the Kokand State Forestry Agency, which was studied by the working group. The collected documents were sent to the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan for legal assessment.
