In the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan, with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Water Management, the Ministry of Ecology and Environmental Protection, Climate Change, the Forestry Agency and the Scientific Research Institute of Forestry, the main development of our country in the next 7 years. It is known that Uzbekistan loses at least 4.5% of its gross domestic product every year due to the use of hydrocarbon energy - oil, gas, coal. In addition, about half of the country's power generation capacity is obsolete. Their restoration or modernization requires a lot of money. Instead, it is much better to switch to "green energy", which is considered to be both economically and ecologically efficient. It is noteworthy that Uzbekistan was the first among the Central Asian countries to join this movement. In essence, the "Strategy of transition to a green economy" adopted two years ago means that our country is moving towards "green development".
"Green economy" is not only about reforming the energy sector. It includes multifaceted and wide-ranging measures such as clean drinking water problems, food security, agricultural innovations, sustainable cities, rational waste management, expansion of forest areas, reduction of desertification.
In particular, the concept of transition to a "green economy" in Uzbekistan in 2019-2030 includes a number of tasks.
