A regional trade fair was held in Bukhara region in order to develop the field of medicine and spices.

At this event, organized in cooperation with the administration of the Bukhara Region, the Department of Agriculture, the Department of Forestry, the Department of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Department of Agriculture of the Bukhara Region, the Department of Forestry, the Department of Trade - the administration of the Chamber of Industry, regional Agroservices Center, Bukhara State University, Bukhara Medical Institute named after Abu Ali ibn Sino, regional Ecology Department, pharmaceutical clusters, farms, pharmaceutical LLC enterprises, citizens and entrepreneurs interested in the pharmaceutical industry participated.

An exhibition of local medicinal products grown in forest farms of Bukhara region was held at the fair.

Experts emphasized the need to protect medicinal plants, establish their plantations, and create an additional value chain through processing.

It is known that the use of medicinal herbs as medicine is a very ancient custom, the history of which begins with the formation of man. Due to the incomparable role of medicinal plants in restoring human health, the demand for medicines made from plant raw materials among the population is increasing year by year.

Medicinal plants are increasingly important for human health. In order to develop the field, the decision of the head of our state dated May 20, 2022 "On measures to organize the cultivation and processing of medicinal plants and their widespread use in treatment" has also set a number of tasks.
