The cocoon industry also plays an important role in the development of our country's economy. In addition, the demand and need for cocoons, which is an important industrial raw material, is increasing year by year worldwide. Therefore, special attention is being paid to the development of cocoons in our country.

The decision of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated February 24, 2023 "On measures for the further development of the silk industry" and June 5, 2023 "Supporting domestic farming in the field of cocoons and providing a feed base for growing cocoons" The decree "On additional measures of further expansion" is being programmed to raise the work in this direction to a higher level.

In the above-mentioned documents, a number of tasks related to the cultivation of cocoons, increasing the volume of preparation, further improving their quality, and strengthening the silkworm feed base are defined.

The development of cocooning largely depends on the silkworm feed. For this reason, establishing new mulberry groves, increasing individual mulberry rows, modernizing existing mulberry groves, and creating mulberry seedlings with high yield and high nutritional value are urgent issues.

Jondor state forestry of Samarkand region and Bukhara scientific experimental station and related farms and enterprises organized a seminar on planting mulberry seedlings on field edges in Jondor district, direct planting, watering works were carried out.

Newly established tutzors not only increase the volume of cocoon cultivation in our country, but also create new jobs for the population.
